Call the California Medical Association at 415-541-0900 to find a physician near you. Some dentists also treat patients for free in California, to find one call 916-445-0174. The State of California offers Medi-Cal which provides medical coverage for children, pregnant women, families, and adults over 65, the blind or disabled and all other adults. To use these programs you have to have a low income that falls within their guidelines. There are income tables on each of the above links/pages. Applications are available at many clinics and hospitals or call Medi-Cal at 1-877-597-4777. Most of the clinics listed below provide medical care and free prescriptions. The Los Angeles Free Clinic has 3 locations, but they all use the same appointment line: 323-653-1990. They start taking same day appointments (Monday-Friday) at 9am over the phone. All you have to do is ask your doctor which company makes your medication, contact the company (I've listed many of them below), they will send you some forms for you and your doctor to sign.
